Description

This software enables deaf-and-blind people to recognize things with barcodes.
A text description must be associated to each barcode which is to be recognized - this is done in a plain text file.
The deaf-and-blind person reads the barcode via a barcode hand scanner which is connected to the desktop PC.
A Pocket PC with phone edition carried by the deaf-and-blind person is used to vibrate the description of the barcode in morse code.
The transmission of the information between the desktop PC and the Pocket PC is done via Bluetooth.

System requirements

Windows Vista
Barcode scanner which sends the recognized barcode to the PC as it would be typed via the keyboard
Bluetooth function on desktop PC and on the Pocket PC
Pocket PC running Windows Mobile 6.0 or higher with phone function

The program was tested on a simvalley XP-25 device running Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional (The new device has only costed 149 Euros!).
