Enabling deaf-and-blind people to recognize things with barcodes, e.g. consumer durables, via vibrating the meaning of the barcode in morse code
This software enables deaf-and-blind people to recognize things
with barcodes.
A text description must be associated to each barcode which is to be
recognized - this is done in a plain text file.
The deaf-and-blind person reads the barcode via a barcode hand
scanner which is connected to the desktop PC.
A Pocket PC with phone edition carried by the deaf-and-blind
person is used to vibrate the description of the barcode in morse code.
The transmission of the information between the desktop PC and the
Pocket PC is done via Bluetooth.
